The Food Pantry Team would like to thank our community members, churches, and local businesses for their amazing ongoing support of our pantry. We have been the recipients of many bags of groceries, cases of food, and monetary donations big and small. Every bit is thoroughly appreciated.
Our amazing volunteer, Mary Anne Libby, has sent many thank-you notes along the way. Recently, however, we found out that not all of you who have donated in the past have received a thank you from us. We are truly sorry for this and are working to create a better communication process so that none of your tax-deductible donations go unrecognized.
We have a wonderful group of community members and businesses who give generously and regularly to help support our pantry. Please know how much we appreciate this and how much it means to the families we serve. You are the financial foundation that helps keep us going.
In addition, none of this would happen without our amazing school nurses, who work with us to make sure our families in need in the district have access to food and clothing.
Below please find some of the groups who have most recently organized fundraisers for which our pantry was chosen to be the recipient. We thank all involved for their hard work on our behalf and truly appreciate their support.
Readfield Mason’s: Lafayette Lodge #48 AF & AM
Last August, the Readfield Masons held their annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. They chose our pantry as the recipient and applied for a 2 to 1 matching grant from the Grand Lodge of Masons of Maine. In early March they presented some members of our food pantry team with a check for $3,000. We so appreciate their hard work and their support of our pantry.
Dr. Jenn Cotone of Cotone Family Chiropractic in Readfield held her annual food drive and delivered three large bags of groceries to us. Thanks to all who participated and thank you Dr. Jenn for your support!
Manchester Elementary School held its annual Turkey Trot and chose the pantry as the recipient. Thank you!
Wayne Community Church - We were honored to be chosen as the recipients of their Christmas Eve offering. We truly appreciate their generosity and ongoing support.
