The Maranacook Education Foundation was pleased this year to able to award 15 grants to our schools and community organizations. This photo helps describe how students are positively impacted by these awards. Ryan Lancaster, 10th grade student at MCHS, is shown here with his teacher, Tom Ferrero, using the new Pole Vice located in the industrial arts department. This important piece of equipment was purchased through a grant written by Tom to be used by students like Ryan as part of their Fine Metals class. Tom reports that this additional tool has greatly helped the students fine tune their skills in this area as well as increasing the opportunity for students to shape and mold metal into all sorts of designs and patterns. All of the grants awarded are listed here, and we hope to highlight many of them in the coming months. Please visit our website to learn more about our organization and to donate if you would like to help us in our efforts to support our school's students and staff.
