Dear Parents and Guardians,
Due to a major winter storm forecasted to bring heavy snow, high winds, and dangerous travel conditions, all schools in the district will be closed for in-person learning on Thursday,April 4th. Instead, all students will engage in remote learning from home on this day.
Depending on your child's level they will be coming home with "Blizzard Bags" or a schedule of "live" and independent work. Attendance will be taken, and all assignments given will be graded as part of each student's academic record.
We understand this may cause challenges for some families, but closing schools is necessary to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and bus drivers during the expected hazardous weather and road conditions.
Additional details about remote learning expectations and technology support will be provided by your child's school. Please have your child(ren) ready Thursday morning prepared to learn remotely that day using the provided materials. Please note staff will be available for assistant if needed so do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher(s) as needed.
Please check your child's backpack for remote meals if you signed up to receive one.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility. We will continue monitoring the weather and provide updates about any additional closures or reopening for in-person learning as needed.
Sincerely,
Jay Charette
