Our MCHS students and the chaperone team composed of Jorgeanne Barley, Sam Watson, Trudi Cormier, and Hope Lord joined the HallDale High School, leaving Maine on April 10th for Paris. The itinerary was meticulously planned to maximize cultural immersion and educational opportunities. From the enchanting streets of Paris to the picturesque beaches of Barcelona, students engaged in various free activities designed to deepen their understanding of the local culture. Highlights included exploring iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, a cruise through the Seine River, Château de Chenonceau, and Casa Batlló, and sampling regional cuisine.
Throughout the trip, students demonstrated remarkable resilience as they utilized their language skills to navigate daily activities and interact with locals and international communities. Despite encountering language barriers, they embraced the opportunity to practice their language abilities and gain confidence in their communication skills, inspiring all who witnessed their determination.
